The new drink of the summer is mojitos. Move over margarita! Mojitos are damn good.
Bach Mass in B minor....is so good but so hard. Audition tonight. I hate auditions. I might not audition for the Terry Riley piece because I just don't know it that well and I should be more prepared for that end.

And how exactly do you make a mojito? Enlighten the mixed-drink challenged!

A mojito is an interesting time, because you have to "muddle" the ingredients, which is just a fancy word for smash. Heh. You take mint leaves, lime slices, and sugar and put them in a glass then smash them all up with a spoon (lime juice works better sometimes) then you use white rum (bacardi works good) and club soda. It sounds sort of gross, but its actually quite good! The first sip I took I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but indeed I do!

We did that @ Shenandoah this past fall. Very challenging, even for the best conservatory students at the University. You know that I'm a classical music buff, but Bach's mass seems to transend all that into something spiritual.. for me a least:)
Cum Sancto is my favorite!, our conduction, Robert Shafer, of the Washington Chorus, took it at a quick tempo, those runs are fierce!!!
Best of luck and enjoy :)

It will for sure be a spiritual experience for me on all sorts of levels, this piece is something else.
