So no shit there I was...

Driving home from work. I was mostly home I mean within minutes and my car starts well spazzing is the only way I know how to describe it. I am pushing on the accelerator and the car is I don't know hiccuping for the lack of a better word. I got home and Jed took it around the block and the wretched thing stopped. He ( Read more... )

You're the best! I think Jed's only plan is to try changing out the battery and tightening some things up. If you could get E to look, listen, channel gods whatever it is mechanics do I would be so greatful! I am really hoping to get it running for the next 2 months when I think I will have enough saved up for a $1000 car.
Still planning on getting there on Sunday though I might end in meeting you at the parade around 1. Some friends in NJ are having a party Saturday and I promised months ago I would be there. Thought I could drive home myself but now I have to go with Jed and am trying to talk him into coming home early. If not I guess I will blow off the party so I can go to the parade. Do you feel my love for the shire?

((hugs))

The Shire is a harsh mistress. But this could be the snowflake that starts an avalanche.

ps- E can sometimes find car too... if you're intersted in driving a VW...

I am interested in driving anything with four wheels and a motor :-). If you think you could talk him into coming to have a look that would be brilliant!

Check the fuel filter and if possible, the fuel pressure. The filter might be hard to get to, but if it is getting clogged you will get hiccuping and shakes as it surges with fuel then starves out with no fuel. The pressure is harder to check but your friendly Haynes repair manual should give you directions. Sorry you are still having car troubles. :(
