I watched that movie too!! Sorry, excited moment there. lol. Thought I was the only one on here who watched Lifetime movies. Calming down now. :D

I can understand your dilemma. You did get this career high up on your list though, so you obviously meet many of the qualifications. My suggestion is to search for "speech pathology" on the net and try to find some speech pathologists. If you can find an email address, then try emailing one and asking them about the qualifications to see if it's possible for you to do this. Even better would be if you could find someone in your area to meet up with and talk this field over. You could maybe find these answers through a search too.

I know you were considering becoming a child psychologist, but what about a social worker?

I love lifetime movies! Some are really bad but I do like a lot! This one was really good and truly moved me =)

Yeah, I've done all the internet research and will look into internships and all of that when school starts up again. I was just wondering if anyone could see me doing that.

I haven't really thought of being a social worker before.. I guess that's because I always figured they just worked with foster kids, etc. But I need to look into it more. B/c every test I take it always says social worker is my number one choice.

I love the movie's lifetime has on children since those are usually good. Gracie's Choice was the last good one I saw before Miracle Run.

I could definitely see you being a social worker. When I was about fourteen, I considered the profession for awhile. There is actually more to being a social worker than dealing with foster children, but that is the role most people identify social workers to. If you'd like to know what else is involved in the work of a social worker, then just go here, hun: http://stats.bls.gov/oco/ocos060.htm
