Kelly is a bad blogger. Eh, it could be worse. So, I haven’t updated the lj in a while because I got sick the last day in Vietnam. Like sick enough I had to go to the hospital. The amount of talent on this ship is absolutely amazing. Last night I was sitting in Tymitz Square, which is one of the public spaces on the ship where the Student Life desk and Purser’s desk are. HAWAII
Hawaii was gorgeous. So pretty. Most of Honolulu is on sea level and the rest of the island is mountains. Clouds just hover at the tops (which was a navigation aid that ancient Polynesians used to identify Hawaii). The sky was blue and there was a nice breeze. The water is warm! San Diego Zoo
So, I just realized that I haven’t told you lot about my adventures in San Diego. It was sooooooooooo humid when I was leaving Boston, so the nice weather was probably the best thing. I'm still on a ship...
Classes are interesting. Everyone has to take this one course called Global Studies. It covers a variety of topics, especially covering the ports we’re entering. Tomorrows lecture is about oceanography and the hula. It’s a real class, I promise! Today the lecture talked about how the US views itself and how other countries view us. I'M ON A SHIP
This whole experience so far has been veeeeeeeery overwhelming. I still kind of can’t believe that I’m actually on a ship right now, headed for Honolulu, Hawaii. We’ll get there on Sunday.
