The Forkies
What are the Forkies? The Forkies are fandom awards based on the idea of the Dundies, the awards show featured on the Office US.
In the words of Michael Scott “the Dundies, the annual employee awards night here at Dunder Mifflin.And this is everybody's favorite day. Everybody looks forward to it, because, you know, a lot of the people here don't get trophies, very often. Like Meredith or Kevin, I mean, who's gonna give Kevin an award? Dunkin' Donuts? Plus, bonus, it's really, really funny. So I, you know, an employee will go home, and he'll tell his neighbor, "Hey, did you get an award?" And the neighbor will say, "No man. I mean, I slave all day and nobody notices me." Next thing you know, employee smells something terrible coming from neighbor's house. Neighbor's hanged himself due to lack of recognition. So...”
Basically, we feel it’s time people got some recognition for all they do around the interwebs. None of us get paid for the time and effort we put into providing each other with endless pictures and bits of information, but we do it anyway, because we love our fandom. It’s time to get a little reward and recognition, no?
Winners in each catergory will receive a personalised award that relates to the catergory in which they won. All awards will be somehow Office related but Twilight inspired.
Nominations will close April 19th.
The top 3 nominations in each category will then be put up for vote.
Rules/Guidelines
1. You may nominate a website, community, or myspace/facebook (etc) page in any category, just as long as it fits i.e. no Edward Cullen pages nominated in Hot dog ;)
2. You may vote in just one, or all categories. Please try to vote differently in each, though.
3. Please vote honestly, don't just vote for a friend.
4. Please only nominate sites open to ALL.
5. Don't take it too seriously. If you don't win, it's nothing personal.
Any website, LJ community, Myspace page, Facebook profile, Role Player....whatever, as long as it's online, and related to Twilight, it is eligible for nomination!
Catergories are as follows: (All are based around the awards given at the Dundies, and changed slightly to fit Twilight)
1. Busiest Beaver Award - Community/website/profile page with up to date news info, and content to engage and keep fan interest. One you can tell has a lot of time and effort put in behind the scenes.
2. Hottest in the Office Award - Favorite site/community or profile page i.e the one you always know will most likely have exactly what you’re looking for.
3. Fine Work Award - Best creator of graphics/fiction/videos etc. (Vote for an individual [not a community or site] - linking to their graphics community, deviant art page, FF.net profile page, Youtube channel etc.) *You may vote for 1 person in each catergory i.e a writer, a graphic artist AND a video editor*
4. Whitest Sneakers Award - Site/page/community with the best looking layout
5. Grace Under Fire Award - Community/Website/Page that handles any drama thrown at them, with grace.
6. Jim Halpert Award - Site/page/community you enjoy visiting, browsing and interacting in the most.
7. Longest Engagement Award - Site that’s being going strong since the beginning of the fandom
8. The Hot dog Award - The best site dedicated to team Wearwolf.
9. The Cold as ice Award - Best site dedicated to Team Vampire
10. The Klutz Award - Best site that has no allegiance, think Bella Swan -Team Switzerland.
11. The PB & J Award - Best site dedicated to a couple.
12. The Schrute Award - Best site dedicated to an actor who has a role in Twilight. (Listed cast only, no Steven Strait’s or Emily Browning’s please)

Yes. As long as it is online and open to everyone it may be nominated.
