I had a really bad day yesterday. I just up and drove to Lafayette to see Luke. Which was probably not the best idea because I had to drive around for an hour today looking for gas. Katrina has ruined so many lives. It really puts into perspective how small and vulnerable we are as humans compared to the rest of the world. Not that I ever thought this could not happen I just hoped and prayed it would not. This was a very LONG weekend for me. Work was canceled Tuesday and today. I have slept so much in the last few days. Hurricane Katrina just exhausted me. I am now 3 days into my diet. I am feeling really good about everything. It has not really been that hard at all for me. The wake for Zoie was last night. A Part of me is very glad its over, and a part of me does not want to let go. It was extremely sad. Seeing Mrs. Trudi and her family so hurt broke my heart completely. I am sure it was not as broken as all of their hearts.
