I saw that in the paper today, and I'm really glad they printed that. Maybe now people will understand why I (and others) don't put up my hand in class, why I am silent in group conversations... she is right, the world does idealize extroversion, and it's very unfair.

I completely agree with you. It is highly unfair. So much of this article makes sense. There are so many talents that introverted people have that extroverted people don't understand or don't acknowledge and it is definitely too bad. There are so many times when I've been told that I have a lot to offer and that I have so much potential, if I was just a little more outgoing/extroverted. It's so frustrating, because that shouldn't be the basis of evaluation in school, which it can tend to be....argh.
