...how many knives we actually own. (minus one or 2 swiss army pocket knives we can't seem to locate)

We dug thru the house and made a large pile of blades.
(note: this pile does not include anything that would to us, count as a sword.)

I once pointed out to John that I didn't know what it said about us, but that we had a safe with drugs, guns and money.

Anything potentially troublesome prescription-wise gets locked up. Money, well that's John "play cash" for motorcycle parts and tattoos and guns...well, they came with the job.

It just sounds more fun when you don't explain it.

Man, I didn't even put the regular kitchen knives out on the table. LOL.

but now, the ones he wants to sell are sorted out, and the ones that don't see regular use are safely packed up in one place.

Hummm, looks perfectly normal to me :). Mind you I'm almost never more than a foot away from a sword in my house, much less a knife.
