i mean, taking out tile is pretty easy. get a sledgehammer, a crowbar, and start whacking. do be careful that you're not cracking the ceiling below, though. be rational about it.
and as for installing tile, talk to the people you buy it from. we got very specific directions on how to seal the tile from the showroom. and we have watched it being done on hgtv. it's not really something you can totally screw up if you are working with the right tools.
