day one

 i started accutane (or, more accurately, amnesteem) last night.  i'm going to track my progress here.  skip it if you want - it's really for my own use.

so anyway, even getting my mitts on the drug was a huge ordeal.  there's a workbook with three consent forms, a pregnancy test, bloodwork, a follow-up dermatologist appointment, another pregnancy

My brother used Accutane long ago, I remember seeing the packages with the 'no pregnant ladies' symbol on them and being worried about what he was doing. But his acne was really bad and it was a last resort after years of treatment. It totally worked and he loved it.

yah, it's pretty dangerous stuff.

my acne isn't "bad" but it's stubborn and nothing else has worked.
