i filed an insurance claim just a few hours after the accident on saturday.  the insurance adjuster still has not contacted me, so i tracked her down and left a passive aggressive "hi, this is kelvicious.  i'm calling to introduce myself.  please let me know if you need any information in order to MOVE FORWARD HEY HOW'S ABOUT MOVING FORWARD???"

if it's totaled, you should get the market value of the car...check kelly blue book to get an idea how much you're looking at.

i can't remember if pa is a no-fault state or if you'd be found at fault because you hit someone from behind, so i'm no help there. i also can't remember if the police decision of fault has anything to do with the insurance decision of fault. probably not, 'cause the cops tend to be pretty useless about that.

pa IS a no-fault state, but apparently the laws are so complicated, not even the most seasoned attorney can figure them out. at least this is what the internet tells me ;)
