EDIT - check the last paragraph

Holy crap, the the lighting.

Design geeks, I want to make a set out of this stuff.

The idea behind this legislation amuses me.

I am going to go see Refract, Reflect, Project: Light Works from the Collection at the Hirshhorn. February 15, 2007 - April 8, 2007, anyone interested?

I saw Richard III tonight at STC. ( Read more... )

"add the phrase, “who are capable of having children with one another” to the legal definition of marriage;"

So I guess anyone who is impotent, or sterile, or has completed menopause, or... is banned from marrying.

* require that couples married in Washington file proof of procreation within three years of the date of marriage or have their marriage automatically annulled;

So much for population control - guess people can't just get married b/c they like each other... I know several hetero couples who would have their license revoked simply b/c they have no intention to begat anything.

* establish a process for filing proof of procreation; and

great - sperm donor bank room will be equipped with cameras so that couples can be filmed attempting to procreate.

* make it a criminal act for people in an unrecognized marriage to receive marriage benefits.

... GAH!
ya, add me to the theater filter - I like to know there is decent theater happening outside of the theaters i'm working in.

I was incensed by the amendments until I read their rationale. I approve. :)

okay... I should stop reading conservative legislation when I'm really tired. The whole absurdity angle was lost on me. They're pretty much taking the conservative ruling down it's slippery slope to demonstrate how dumb it can be.
(sadly I think this may be lost on many conservatives).

I saw the Flavin exhibit a year ago. It was extraordinary--I'd love to check out more work. Lemme know when you're going.
Also, I saw this on ebay...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Altman-Model-1KL6-20-Ellipsoidal-Spotlight-Stage-Lights_W0QQitemZ160080793015QQihZ006QQcategoryZ29944QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Some poor soul paid $50 plus shipping for a crappy old Altman 1KL. Maybe you could make some money off of them from some shmuck on ebay instead of selling them to desparate theatres in DC for $10 a pop.

I am kindof curious about your lengthy and nerdy review.
