get a new rancher. They are really cheap now. you can get a warn winch at purchase for peanuts. Also, they can be electronically selectable 4x4 to 4x2.

Also, compare Honda quality to Chevy quality.

Think of total cost of ownership.

New is definatly out of the option. Unless someone decides to donate around $3000 to me. I am really splitting the fence on this one. I want as little electronics as possible on the fourwheeler or truck, I don't want to be stuck in gear if my battery gets low. It also makes it much easier to fix myself.

Cool picture of you

my suggestion is to get a 327...the 305's suck and the 350's can hog gas...if you plan on driving it everyday the 454 is def. out of the question

i just sold my '86 scottsdale pickup, it had a 327 in it and i miss that motor severly...very quick...

I didn't know Chevy put the 327 in pickup trucks that year. I thought the 327 came out later.

they didn't make a 327 after the 70's...from what i understand, this was a 327 that had origionally came out of a camaro or similar sports car, i spun a bearing in my 305 that came with the truck origionally so i bought the 327 for about $350 and threw her in...ran like a dream...very quick and dependable.

the good thing about the 327's is that they have super thick cylinder walls, so you can bore em out like 30 over and still have meat to rebuild em a few times....very hot item in the amatuer stock car racers

Yeah, The fastest small block currently is a 327. From what I've heard, they are very reliable.

What kind of bike do you ride? I've got a 96 XR250 bored to 280
