Interesting bit of SF.
There's obscure SF book that is about an interplanetary race. It's called the Armstrong Classic after the first man to land on the moon.
Nothing strange there, right?
Except the book is copyright 1952, and has Major Armstrong landing on the moon in 1964. and the first Armstrong Classic is in 2000.

Book recommendations
A few books caught my interest in the Kindle recommendations.
First off, there's three books by Dorothy Grant. All are stand-alones, and I'd love to see sequels to any of them. In the order I read them: Going Ballistic, Shattered Under Midnight and Scaling the Rim

Water, dexterity and silliness
Any fan of the BC comic strip is familiar with Clumsy Carp and his incongruous ability to make water balls.
In a fit of silliness, I once added them to my D&D game. the PCs, came across a room with a stack of spherical objects with a light coating of dust.

Heat wave, ick
So we set a new record high Saturday. 109. And Sunday is going to set another 113 or more. Monday will be down to *only* 111.
Ugh. And the temps after that will be in the 90s until at least July 6th.
My poor air conditioner.

music and books
Listening to Moody Blues albums in order.Their first two (1965 Go Now, 1966 The Magnificent Moodies) had me going "*That* is the Moody Blues???"
But Days of Future Past (1967) is definitely them.
I'm currently reading Going Ballistic by Dorothy Grant on my Kindle. It's good.

Breakfast pizza?
Had a silly food idea.
Breakfast pizza. No sauce, but cheese, scrambled eggs, ans sausage or bacon. Maybe mushrooms and green omions too.
It *sounds* like it might work, but I don't have the ingredients to hand. Nor do I want to use the oven in a heat wave.
