Today I received the 16 tb drive I'd ordered to expand my NAS setup. busily copying stuff to irt and doing other setup.

It occured to me that when I was born (1955) there almost certainly wasn't anything remotely cl;ose to 16tb of storage in the entire *world*. Now I can hold it in the palm of my hand.

Today's Oglaf had a new-to-me tag above it "disrespect magical books, get papercuts"

That sent my mind off on a tangent.

The first (and most obvious) was "vampire books". Which led to memories of books in comics and stories that got activated by blood.

Someone on a mailing list I'm on mentioned a story. I looked it up and it was quite a bit of fun. Seems there are four stories with the same characters.

Needles and Delaney are quite a pair. There is a fair bit of violence.

I was reading a story where a character had a lot of training in an "unknown to the world" martial art. and was starting High school after being "home schooled" their entire life up until then.

And I came up with a totally silly way they could "warn" bullies:

"I've got a plaid belt in Tae Kwon Leap!"
