Things always need to be done, and the question is always "How?".

Education can help to a degree, Nature vs. Nurture aside, but some people are just naturally better at learning. The only way to make everyone equal would either be through genetic engineering, or through handicapping the "betters" to scale them down to the lessers. And, while the name doesn't come to mind, I'm certain we read a spiffy little short story about the latter option in Junior year English.

There is beauty in inequality, to an extent. Without something better to strive towards we would languish in our equality. As sad as it may seem, our species thrives on conflict.
