Please uncle Norris, may I have a pet lorris? jorrocks_j November 30 2007, 03:41:30 UTC
A lorris is so comforting at night:
As it clambers and it swings
through the house destroying things
it's much better than a watchdog or a light.

Then how about a slug, uncle Norris?
It's hardly more than just a little ooze.
But unlike a common snail
it leaves a silver trail
as it slowly crawls across the evening news.

Think of how a gnu or tapir
through the house would madly caper--
But my uncle says that's not where they belong.
And grimly getting up he
says he'll go and buy a puppy
(I'd've settled for a puppy all along)
