Thanks for this, really--I have a bunch of childhood friends and relatives who work for and/or are associated with the Farm Bureau, and they've been pushing the 'Vote NO on Issue 2' agenda. Even though I'm no longer a voter in Ohio, I'm deeply happy to know the other side of this story. And will pass it along to those family members who ARE voters. Good luck to the good guys!
I'm confused though: you say that your farm bureau relations are urging a No vote -- did you mean a Yes vote? The farm bureau is one of the main proponents of this measure.

And the proponents who've been besieging my Facebook page are childhood friends as well as relatives--mostly small-scale family farmers, but a few who work directly for the Farm Bureau. It still surprises me that anyone thinks it'd be wise to create a whole new agency like this--aren't this issue's supporters a lot of the same folks who moan about 'big government'? Or does this board look more like self-regulation to them? Now I'm confused....
