Huge Upset in Arizona...

Nov 09, 2011 03:27

Russell Pearce, the President of the Arizona Senate, lost his seat in a recall election. Pearce drafted and was the primary sponsor of SB 1070.

While I'm not distraught by the loss against Pearce, I'm not enthusiastic of his replacement Jerry Lewis. Arizona is a battle ground now for the 2012 election and this is just the beginning.

Eh - what we need in state government and national is a simple Democrat super-majority as was in place from 1933 - 1945. We were facing similar problems back in the late 1920's and it took the Democrats to clean things up, without any republican meddling. ;-)

So, I don't give half a rat's rear-end about Keynes. The precise approach isn't what matters. Doing something is what matters.

I wonder what percentage of the vote was just people who said "Hell yeah, I'm voting for a guy named Jerry Lewis!"

http://results.enr.clarityelections.com/AZ/32585/49999/en/summary.html He obtained 55% of the vote.

I'm not really sure why this recall occurred because Jerry Lewis is a republican who replaced a republican. Seems to be allot of strange politics.

HAHA I can't believe this went right over my head. LOL I dunno how many people saw the name and thought of the comedian but maybe a few did, its wonderfully useless mind game. HAHA.
