Camping Trip!
I've been meaning to post about my Howe Caverns camping trip. We had a couple of my sister's days switched so she was able to come with me. We left around 11am and got to the campground around 4. Plotting Orca
Once again, work has been dominating my schedule. I had to work on Independence Day because managers automatically get the day off and I had to fill in. She also took Friday off, so I had to work that as well. Things didn't go so smoothly. Productivity.
Well, I've had a fairly productive week. We've been expecting an inspection so I spent some extra time at work doing some painting and cleaning up. The inspection never came, but we're ready for it ;p And it's nice to have the store look a bit more organized ( Read more... ) -
All's well that ends well.
And sadly that means my four day weekend is ending. Just moved my bedding back into the house and turned on my 4.30am alarm for tomorrow morning (#SadFace). I managed to spend all 4 nights out in the trailer, though. That's more than I've spent outside over the last two years combined. Fuel Adjustment
It's a pun, you see! Because... it's a thing I do... at work...Today was day 5 of 6? I made an adjustment to my schedule deleting my vacation day on Tuesday. It seemed really silly to work a 38 hour work week and then use a vacation day, worth 8 hours, to get up to 40. So instead I changed Monday into another 10 hour day for me. Change of Plans…
So setting up the pool hit a little bit of a snag Thursday. It's one of those above ground pools that holds itself up with an inflatable ring, but after filling the first foot or so it stopped rising and the water started spilling over the top. Here We Go Again
Today was Day 1 of 6 straight at work after only one day off. 4 of those days I have to be in at 5am, of which 3 of those days I'll be working 10 hour shifts. Our manager will be in Michigan during this time for a wedding, so I'll be running the store. Overall, it's really nothing I haven't done before. To Boldy Go
So we saw Star Trek Into Darkness. I tend to see only about one movie in theaters every year and this was a good one to fit the role (Though presumably we'll see the Hobbit Part 2 this winter.) The mattress fundraiser turned out well. My manager said I could leave work once I finished my paperwork so that's what I did... finished it a lot quicker than usual. Whelp, my weekend was cut short. Was supposed to have Thursday and Friday off but ended up being called into the store on Friday since another store needed to borrow our manager.
