Long time since I updated..
I've been doing okay though I haven't felt like anything was worthy of posting on here. I still check LiveJournal everyday and I've noticed that the number of friends who update it steadily declines. I chalk that up to blogging getting boring for them as they do it primarily for an audience and not for themselves. Thankfully I do it for myself ( Read more... ) -
Ah yes fandoms invovling corporate intellectual property....
Looks like Hasbro has gone out of its way to kill the internet fandom of MLP:FiM. Their strong arming over copyrights, which I take with a grain of salt as their merchandise was hard to find this Christmas, is why its happening. Snowless Christmas...
There's more snow in places like the Mogollon Rim of Arizona this year than in Buffalo. And I wouldn't complain as driving in snow sucks and Arizona needs it far more than WNY does. Snow is so much better at relieving droughts than rain as the snow melts at a pace that can be absorbed by the soil better than the rain which tends to run off ( Read more... ) -

Anonymous has a rather interesting video posted on Youtube on the National Defense Authorization Act. Unfortunately as much Obama threatens a veto, I expect it to be signed, because its too good to pass up. But it won't be Obama who will ever get to use the bill to its worst. Airsoft...
So some people might remember that last year I bought an airsoft "rifle" (its rifle in name only as its well modeled on the M16 but has a 6.04mm copper pipe that is the smooth barrel used to pneumatically shoot plastic "BBs"), well unfortunately money problems tied me up and I never bought the rest of the gear to go the local field in Niagara ( Read more... ) -
Huge Upset in Arizona...
Russell Pearce, the President of the Arizona Senate, lost his seat in a recall election. Pearce drafted and was the primary sponsor of SB 1070.
While I'm not distraught by the loss against Pearce, I'm not enthusiastic of his replacement Jerry Lewis. Arizona is a battle ground now for the 2012 election and this is just the beginning. -

Unusual dream last night...
I had this unusual dream where I met this guy out and about in what I can remember as either a war-zone like area or mountainous with a few cliffs to look over (I believe it was the later over the former). Two weeks ago was AnthronCon. I had no idea on whether I could or should go until almost the very last minute. Basically it came the week of the convention when I started looking at getting a place to stay and was blown away all the rooms surrounding Pittsburgh were locked out or booked. Walk among the Ancients....
I would love to fly to Alexandria to visit the sites of the ancient Library then walk into the modern reincarnation to view in awe the collection of works in discovery, theory, and commentary of man.
