Making an effort to post more--and for me, I guess that means I just have to beat once every six months:) Twice in a weekend is probably a record

Oh, JOY! I did not know Flamingo watched Orphan Black and now you too! I am so HAPPY. This series has been my fave since it began but so few people watched then. Isn't Tatiana Maslany amazing? Particularly when she is one clone (let's say Allison) pretending to be Sarah and yet you can tell it's really Allison! Just blows me away. The fourth season has just ended and it was announced that season five will be the last. I don't know how I can wait a whole year to find out. My favorite clone is Cosima, but I lurve them all.
We must discuss at SHarecon.
Never watched Supernatural or Gilmore Girls. Recently started watching a series called Wynonna Earp which is basically a female version of Supernatural without a car because (like Buffy the Vampire Slayer) all the demons are right there in their town.
The acting is simply amazing! I'm surprised Tatiana hasn't won every award that isn't nailed down--she's simply wonderful.
Cosima is my favorite, too. I think I'm going to finish season one tonight!
Love to chat with you at SHarecon about it, but we'll need to grab Anne, too, Flamingo says she really loves it. And then the three of us will have to hide from Flamingo for talking about a show that isn't SH during SHarecon, LOL.
I've never heard of Wynonna Earp. I'll look it up for when I'm done with OB.
I've been addicted to SPN since the first episode but I won't go near the fandom.
I love Gilmore Girls and I'm so happy there is going to be a new one. I just hope it is good. One thing that worries me when shows do these years later things is that sometimes the canon doesn't turn out quite like you hope and it can be disappointing. Much as I would have liked S&H to have a years later show and I was disappointed the movie took the opportunity away from PMG and DS who wanted to do such a thing, it could have been very messy for our head canons
( ... )
There's going to be four new GG movies! The actors have said the scripts were wonderful, so I'm very optimistic:)
SH are my best and true loves, too, but I do like those Winchester boys! It's just a show I want to watch, though, not read/write. I think all the things I've read about Sam being disliked and other things kept me away.
So, TV. Is anyone but me a fan of both Supernatural and The Gilmore Girls?
I would think my answer to that is obvious, as I've been with Jensen Ackles since Days of Our Lives and officially covering SPN for Fandomania since Season Six (a viewer prior to that). I revisited Gilmore Girls again when Jared confirmed he was filming a chapter for the reunion miniseries, after having watched it first run. He was SO YOUNG then, and to think he went from GG to SPN. Both the boys seem so young in the first season compared to now, but then again they grew up onscreen in front of our eyes.
What's this posting you speak of?gayeldJuly 25 2016, 02:03:04 UTC
Hey Stranger!
I don't think I come around here anymore except to stalk George R. R. Martin (yes, I've become one of those Game of Thrones fans. The worst kind, too, the ones who have read the books more than once and scowl at difference in the show. Although, not nearly as much as some.)

Hey old friend! So cool to see you.
Here us where we talk about things we don't want on FB. FB is too damn big and public.
I figured you would love GoT. I hate to tell you, but I've never watched or read the books. Fantasy is not my genre, but I know (because everyone but me watches) that's it's wonderful.
Apparently, you're not the only one who knew that. Michelle (a friend at work,) dump her copies of all five books on my desk and refused to take them back until I read them. I finally bought the Kindle version just so she would take her books back because the only place I had time to read was while the kids were in swimming lessons and I was afraid to ruin her books.
I could not get into them though, until I broke my ankle and was stuck in a chair for weeks. Once I got past a certain point, I couldn't put them down. Read all five books in two months and pretty much binged the show when I could.
The fantasy elements (aside from the quasi-medieval setting) are pretty sparse in the first couple of seasons. It's almost more of a political drama (well, if they killed off one of your favorite characters every season of West Wing.) But they're coming more into play now on the show and hopefully in the next book. If we get a next.... I have to go stalk George now.

They really did grow up in front of our eyes. I feel so grateful to them both that they've stayed with the show so long.
