PS - It's really really good that you found a support system. Sometimes your friends really can't sympathize the way you need them to, but finding a group where the people do know what you're going through can be the best thing you can do.

I completely agree. None of you are pregnant or have kids, so I spend a good deal of time on Babycenter, because they understand in ways you guys can't. I still love you guys, but I really doubt you want to hear about mucus plugs and whatnot!

Don't feel bad about it. None of my friends are in serious relationships, let alone dealing with raising stepkids full-time. I was in a few groups on MySpace for stepmom support, but it was starting to be a bunch of dramaz so I haven't been there in a while.

What's your boy in? I have a co-worker who is part-time in the National Guard.

He's active duty Airborne Infantry. To put it the way his friend Colin does, "We jump out of planes and kill people." ;)

::HUGS:: hun! I know this must be difficult for you. My sis had the same trouble when her hubby was sent over. It's very nerve-wracking. I'll keep both you and your boy in my thoughts and prayers and I know he'll get back safely to you. I'm here if you ever need to vent. I may not have a boy myself, so I'm not the best empathizer, but I do listen very well and I have a fairly sturdy shoulder.
