I saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince last week, on the day it came out. I think I can safely say for all HP fans that dying of anticipation was definitely an understatement as to how we were feeling! That being said, H-BP has garnered mostly positive review from fans and critics alike, but I question whether that's due to simply being ( Read more... )

yes the gandalf reference is definately there. "Tying shoes" has become the thrilling new innuendo all around the world, and of course Dumbledore's funeral takes place in the sixth book, i saw no funeral, it best be in the seventh movie (Part one) because that has so much foreshadowing, as far as him being burried with the wannd.

I was so upset they didn't have more of Voldemort's history. Those were very good parts in the book. The movies always skimp out on flashbacks...
There definetley needed to be less of that forced awkward Harry/Ginny stuff. I don't think it really is the actress's fault. I think she was scripted a lot of stupid stuff (i.e. the shoelace tying thing) so she might've come across as weird.
I miss Neville too!!
Dumbledore I don't think is too bad but I wish they would show more of his kind of mad as a hatter side in the movies.
But, for the most part, I rather liked it. I'm not very picky with Harry Potter movies. I like all of them a lot.

it's not the Ginny scenes that make me dislike Bonnie Wright, I just dislike her as an actress. she puts no emotion in her voice and face, and it's kind of important as an actress to emote in those areas.
