In fact, all of 2013 has had wholly unacceptable levels of stress, pain, and misery both for myself and for those I love.

ok, I know about Toby. But any changes in Tris? Since the updates this AM? *WORRIED*

He's doing ok. Once they put the meds down his throat he started to perk up and eat better. He's in an awful lot of pain though and he will be for the next few days. I'll check on him in about 3 hours. I've been in touch with the clinic so they have updates and they said it's pretty much to be expected.

He had no temp, was drinking and passing manure, not in any distress, just hurting and depressed. It's tough to see him that way and not be able to tell him that he'll feel better in a few days.
