I'm now counting down the days until we head back to Mississippi. Not sure if I'd mentioned previously, but we couldn't really afford daycare, with Nate and I both working we would've just about broke even, maybe had an extra hundred or two if we both worked on top of bills and daycare. Well, he's been "had"! Just back to work yesterday, had really planned on updating this while I was off on maternity leave, but I guess I spent far too much time snuggling him haha. I'm rather busy at work at the moment, but I promise an update (and pictures!) tomorrow :) -
birth day!
So it looks as though I'm scheduled to go in Monday night around 8pm, and being induced Tuesday morning! Scary, but exciting!! He's up to 8lbs 12oz already. Can we say ow!?! -
dorky librarian wanna-be
I finally got around to signing up for my Campbell Co. library card, and I have to say it made me so nerdily excited it's unreal. Access to thousands of books, just down the street from my apartment. Why I didn't do it sooner, I don't really know. Other than I think it was my way of telling myself "don't worry, you won't be stuck here long ( Read more... ) -
Baby talk
This week hasn't been shaping up as well as I'd hoped. My latest pee test came back with traces of protein, which mixed with my ankle swelling and wacky blood pressure points all signs toward having or developing Toxemia/Preecclampsia. Joy! On top of which I nearly passed out again at work this morning. This is the 2nd time that's happened. ( Read more... ) -
End of one, beginning of two
Well, tomorrow is our one year anniversary already. It's amazing. In most ways it feels like it's already been a lifetime. Nate surprised me at work with flowers today :) Which in most ways is wonderful, but now I have to find something to get him! lol! I completely forgot. How awful. Ruby
There's a dog at the local animal shelter that I am absolutely dying to have. Her name is Ruby. She's a 2 year old Alaskan Malamut. If we were staying here it wouldn't be a problem at all. Our rent would go up $15 a month, but other than that, nothing bad. But going back to Marquette we're going to be back in student housing again, and no way ( Read more... ) -
Hello from the void, if anyone's still out there!
I am still alive, despite the lack of, well, anything! I am currently residing (or in truer terms, hanging on by my fingernails) in Wyoming. Don't ever let anyone fool you into coming here - it's dusty, and dirty, and tree-less, and no water to be seen anywhere. Ugh.
