I'm able to help in little ways; can stop by, pick up stuff, keep you company. Give me a day's notice. Friends are built in this way & knowing we will be there for each other, helps not to feel so alone.

too true, how alone the house feels w/o another here ... and i'm not too awfully worried, just unsure i've taken all the steps i need to so the recovery goes easily ... thank you for the offers, i will indeed take you up on them as the need occurs ...
