Weekly Recs 10/15/10
There's a little something extra this week: a little extra Tony/Ziva due to all the fics stemming from the scenes in recent episodes, a few extra tags I had to create for this post for characters and pairings I'd never featured before (I love when I have to do that!), and a little extra of something completely different. Read on...

KEW note: This story does a good job of getting inside Mossad Officer Ziva's over-analytical head.

KEW note: I really liked this story for all the little insights about Fornell that the author weaves in amongst the Gibbs/Tony stuff.

Summary: Ziva had given up entirely, but is jarred from her defeat by the simplest action.
KEW note: Apparently "Truth or Consequences" has just started playing in reruns in America, leading to a new wave of fic inspired by it. I like the conscious resolution that Ziva makes in this story.

Summary: Holly Snow might be best known for arranging dates with high-class escorts. Her real talent, however, is match making.
KEW note: A very interesting concept with great execution.

I'm breaking out of the NCIS-with-a-dash-of-Bones mold this week. I hope you'll excuse the digression.

Summary: Last night when you were changing for bed you found five nickel-sized bruises on your upper thigh and you stared at them for a full minute before you realized they were from his fingers, steadying, your leg wrapped high around his waist.
KEW note: This fic is positively steamy and yet totally innocent. It's fantastically well done. (From my secret insider recs source, tempertemper77, who has excellent taste.)

KEW note: As I'm sure has happened to many of you, a scene from a fic had been driving me crazy because I couldn't remember what it was from. When I finally tracked it down, it turned out to be from WriteStuff's "The Warrior's Heart" series which, since I read it long ago, had grown by leaps and bounds. I was most particularly impressed with the most recent installment, which is the biggest shakeup of their own universe that I think I've ever seen fanfic author perform. However, if you're not familiar with the series, you'll need to do some back reading at the site linked above before tackling "Schism".

Summary: A senior JAG goes missing in Bahrain. A junior pilot falls from the skies. As DiNozzo is trying to find his way as team leader and Gibbs is getting used to a new team, they realize that these two cases may not be unrelated.
KEW note: Chapters 9 and 10 added. We're in a bit of a lull in this story right now, but I'm sure the action is about to pick up again imminently.
