I think Lilly should dance the commalla.

*shifty* I can see commala-ing at a wedding being a tradition.

So can I.

:D

I said fuck-commala at work yesterday. I was glad there were no customers or managers around. ¬_¬

Tonks will offer any help she can, understanding rather well the desire for a simple, yet nice, wedding. :D

Given the vague Hambry connection with the Quakers, there's an option of having a family member perform the wedding (it's legal in Pennsylvania because of the Quakers and the Amish, I believe. Yeah, I watch "A Wedding Story" a lot.) If Patrick Delgado is able to come back, or someone from the ka-tet could perform it?

Hmm...I like this idea, in theory. Patrick Delgado has already been suggested and nixed for giving Susan away...I don't think we're going to be seeing him again.

A ka-tet member doing it...I'm not sure who would. I think it's generally assumed that Roland "married" Eddie and Susannah, but again, angst. I could see Eddie doing it, but John's internet access after the middle of August is very iffy, last I heard.

Oh, hey--there's also Ted, maybe. They don't know him so well, but he is ka-tet, and also a fatherly type. No idea how he'd react to the idea, though.

Very iffy after August 18th, as I recall. Which is woe, for a variety of reasons, but w/r/t this one because I also had thought briefly of Eddie performing the ceremony.

'Cause Roland is SO not an option.

As far as the giving away goes, I had an idea that would make a decent amount of sense for Susan IC and would not be Alain or Eddie, though. :) And that's Bernard. I can explain the long version of why if anyone's curious. And last I recall, Josie said she thought he'd be gobsmacked, but he'd do it.

Thoughts on that, anyone?

And not to make it more complicated, but how much of a difference would there be/have been in Gileadean and Mejis-style wedding traditions? 'Cause I'm thinking there would be at least a little bit of one. And I know that Gen has millicanoned through Alain's thoughts that the symbol of engagement wasn't always a ring, but sometimes it was. (Clearly ( ... )

Ooh, they're going to need to talk about Anthy soon, anyway. I don't know if you saw the Anthy-Bert thread, which I have no link to because I am lazy, but he's done the resolving to not be unneccessarily mean to her thing. Whether not being unneccessarily mean extends to letting her have a hand in the wedding plans...well, we'll see.

Oh, yeah. Lilly's going to be very EEEEEE, wedding! However, I think she can be restrained. For one thing, as much as she loves big parties, she prefers parties where everyone's really enjoying themselves and having fun, especially the person it's for. That's why Bernard's party was (mostly) small and peaceful... until Xanderella. But Alain's party was all tasteful and Alain-suited! Even Roland approved.

I think her general attitude would be, EEEEE club member getting MARRIED, whatever Susan wants is law! So hopefully that helps?
