first week at the CDC was a success! waking up at 5.30a is definitely going to take some getting used to, but hey, i get out at 3.30p...so it's worth it. i've mainly been reading a lot of information about streptococcus pneumoniae. i streaked some plates to grow isolated colonies in the lab this week, and next week i'm going to be learning ( Read more... )

So I spent the latter half of the evening playing around with my new anvil and hammer. Earrings are on the to do list, so I've created 3 pairs tonight...now as to whether or not they are gift worthy is a different story, but it's quite fun to play with the stuff. Here are a few pictures.
