I want to be the reason you clear your browser history.this reminds me of my last fandom -- there were a lot of fics (often with the same pairing, which in retrospect was stale but since i liked that pairing i didn't mind it so much at the time) that would follow the pattern of "character a finds out that they're into such and such a kink (usually in a d/s context), character b finds out that they're into character a being into that kink, they mutually indulge in that kink, there's some kink-related angst, then they resolve the conflict

i like the way this is headed, plotwise. you have enough detail versus headspace, but i think your details need to be more vivid. The dreaminess feels authentic, but really try to pin down those moments. switch up your verbs and your imagery. reading poetry might help.

could you clarify more on what you mean by switching up verbs and imagery? i don't do anything linguistics related in school etc. so i am terribly behind on such stuff

lol i don't mean anything vague or schoolish. i just meant that you should describe things exactly as they are. use the exact words to give the reader the sense of what you mean. right now, the details you're focusing on sound a little generic.
