Is it me or does milk taste better when it's from a carton rather than a plastic jug?

Milk from a carton is supposedly better for you. There's some chemical reaction when the milk is exposed to light for too long. Or, so says one of my mom's friends who works at a dairy. They sell their milk in cartons, so it might be jaded information.
