It feels like summer today!  I took Eddy out without a coat to purchase some fun summer toys.  We got finger paints and bubbles.  I can't wait for him to wake up from his nap.  We're going to go outside and paint a picture :-)

I found myself "comparing" Eddy to Eric yesterday.  Eric is another 6 month old who is in Eddy's daycare.

At 4.5 months, Eric was sitting in a Boppy.  Eddy didn't start this until 5 months, and he still doesn't completely have the hang of sitting.  However, Eddy has never really enjoyed sitting.  He is much happier to be either completely up right ( Read more... )

Yay!  Eddy just had a new "first"!  I put Eddy down for a nap.  He was so out, that the Binkster was just sitting in the crib next to him.  I went and took a shower during his nap.  When I got out, I heard him crying.  By the time I got dressed and went to get him, he was quiet.  He found his Binkster and put it in his mouth himself, then went back ( Read more... )

Wow, I just had this realization of how much Eddy has changed in such a short time period.  He is nearly 5.5 months, and he can roll over, grab things from you, sit (although the balance isn't quite all there), eat mushy baby food, laugh, make fun sounds, imitate you, and more. On Monday, I really felt pregnant.  Cinco must have been sitting on top of something that he shouldn't have been.  My right side was all crampy for the entire afternoon :-(  That said, I actually used one of those "Stork Parking" spaces at Wegman's.  I never understood the point of those spots.  The one thing that I am allowed to do is walk.  That ( Read more... )

Our house is officially a war zone.  The baby's room is looking better, but everything else is torn apart.

Yesterday's musing about Cinco:
1) I was insatiably hungry.  I think he must be going into another small growth spurt.  I finished all of the food that I packed in my lunch box and more.  EJ made grilled salmon, rice, and grilled zucchini for dinner.  That's one of my absolute favorite meals (side note: that was an amazing surprise!  Much better ( Read more... )

We took our kayak on its maiden voyage last night!  After work, we strapped the kayak to the top of the Explorer and headed over to Blue Marsh Lake.  Blue Marsh is a large lake about 10 minutes from our house that extends from 183 (in Bern) down past where EJ works into Lower Heidleburg.
