((Yes, of course can do! I hope that this came out as Sora/Riku in that order... I mean, in my mind it did, but my mind skews things sometimes, so... Also, ffff, amazing soooooonnnngggg))

Riku wakes gasping in the night, twisting himself free from blankets that seem too much like the grasping tentacles of darkness that he has tried so hard to get rid of. Sitting up shaking, he buries his hands in his hair, digs deep at the roots to ground himself in the present.

He is safe, he tells himself.

He is safe.And sometimes, that's all that it takes. With that small reminder, he'll slip back into slumber and if he's lucky, he won't be woken up again. More often than that, though, he remains sleepless, and he heads out to their island, wandering aimlessly over its familiar contours ( ... )

Pairing: Riku/Sora (I honestly see them as being fairly flexible depending on the situation, so Sora/Riku is also fine, whichever works best.)

Puff-clouds of warm breath were lit by lamplight below as they evaporated, whisked away by fast wind.
