Ships that Almost Passed in the Night? doniago September 15 2012, 00:57:44 UTC
It's funny, back in 2007 I had a chance of going to EF. It would have been part of a two-week visit to Europe (primarily England), staying with someone I knew exclusively from the internet for the first week before going to EF with him and others I also didn't know.

I opted for a Plan B as I didn't know how well he and I (or the others and I) would get along and the idea of going to Germany but spending my time there at a convention (as opposed to seeing the country) seemed like a potentially frustrating scenario. And I did have a pretty darn cool week in England.

Still, I kind of wonder what it might have been like. And whether we might have actually met then. :p

Ah well.

Ooh, some genuinely high-grade suit photos! Cool beans. ^_^ Always so nice to see con photos that don't have blown out highlights, and beautifully sharp. Although, if I have to quibble at all, it's that I've no idea who they are.. =:/

San Fransisco

*cough*

I was stalked by a sexy Finn, and plied with drinks by three Russians trying to pry Maranathan secrets from me.

Ah, it's a tough life. ^_^

And first read as Manhattan, leaving me wondering what terrible nuclear secrets you're privy to, or if you're simply Doctor Manhattan in disguise. Which would explain one or two things, admittedly.

I suppose I'll get along to EF someday or other; if I resume attending cons, it's easily on the shortlist. ^_^

Meeting you & 'Aro was ten, no, sixteen kinds of awesome, easily one of my personal highlights of the con.
