I'll post pics of my trip to Oman (dramatic desert, wheee!)

I'll be getting back in the fannish swing of things in summer when it gets up to 115 degrees. I'll stay in and write fanfic, right?

Well, that depends. It's not like you're not used to it being hot...growing up in Hotlanta without an air conditioner;)

And woman, the fannish swing can surely wait...you've got a life to live! Have fun and remember your sunblock!!

If you get lonely, there's an NYU satellite school there somewhere... four floors of some high rise. They're young but they might be pretty! ;)

Glad you're having such an adventure. I did not know about the surfing, but when you consider modesty issues and sun-skin exposure, it does make sense.

Actually, I just went to a kite-surfing competition this past weekend. But you totally have to SPF 10000 and reapply religiously (so to speak) because the sun is pure powah!

Totally come and stay as LONG AS YOU WANT. My house is waaaayyy too big, you could come and stay for a month and we'd never notice. Fingers crossed you do UK in the summer, Abu Dhabi in the fall-winter, yes?

You go out with a 4X4 and defy physics as best you can on the ridges of the dunes without flipping the car over. It's mucho fun. And then at night: stargazing.

Oh, then I know! Is it that thing that's a big time event in some desert Arabic countries, where you haul out the whole family and build tents and drive around in the sand by day, and by night, you hang out in the tents and drink coffee and talk? Cos that sounds pretty awesome. :)

It is awesome. You can do it day trip style or overnight. Since i am not a daughter of Islam, I can have more than coffee.
