Ubuntu is analogous to bisexuality, in that it's an often-neglected third option which offers greater possibilities than either of its two more popular counterparts.

Discuss.

I don't regard bisexuality as fundamentally broken, but Ubuntu is.

Don't worry, dear. I'm sure you'll find you're just going through an Ubuntu phase, while you decide which proper distribution you really want to use...

You're just kidding yourself really - you just need to wait til Windows release a platform you get along with.

Do Gentoo - spend 24 hours compiling everything, so your computer can spend 1% more time in the idle loop - users move on to anything else?

Hmm. I haven't sen figures recently. I'm guessing that means that Red Hat and Debian are the major options which are so much more popular? Or perhaps SUSE?

Looks like Mint is the other popular distribution, apart from Fedora.

But Mint is based on Ubuntu. Does it count?

Open source programming is, in general, more fluid, and suitably knowledgeable users can adapt what the programme is to suit their own needs, while feeding information back into the collective pool.

Also, Windows- and Mac- users are often vaguely suspicious of people who use any form of Linux.
