Girls + Reading = Awesome

Sep 04, 2008 23:07

While visiting some near and dear friends out in Seattle over the holiday weekend, I was corralled (okay, maybe not corralled but politely asked) into doing a photo shoot for Readergirlz for their celebration of YASLA's Teen Read Week in September. I know this photo will have an eerie likeness to a current runaway teen lit novel series to some of ( Read more... )

LOVE IT!
(Our niece is obsessed with this series so I'll have to forward the shot to her.) :)

Don't tell, but I totally read the first two books in two days at Holly's sort-of insistance. I just haven't finished because I refused to pay $20 a pop for hardcovers at the airport.

Once you get past the first couple of chapters in Twilight, it's actually rather entertaining.

Thanks!

As a funny aside (as I know you haven't read the books), this is a direct tribute to the SPARKLY VAMPIRES book. For obvious reasons this made me laugh throughout the photoshoot, providing me with some very funny shots. I'm just happy Holly didn't post any of the "apple worship" photos anywhere. ::shudder::

Then you will definitely not want to hear that I actually got sucked into and read the entire first and second books in the series... all 1200 some-odd pages of them.

Do you know the best part? The male lead and *sparkliest* vampire is named...

EDWARD

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I was... but more than being a blonde, I am a woman and I love to change my mind (and hair color).

Oddly enough, brownish auburn is a *lot* closer to my real haircolor... I may end up with near-black hair (like all of my father's family) yet! I was a natural platinum blonde (and dyed blonde since it began to darken) until about 13 or so, so this is a huge shift in color for me.

well either way, it looks really good on you. You are quite beautiful!

I was a blond when I was little. Now it's sort of a light brown with red highlights... but the old lady hair is starting to sprout and it's stark white. I'd hate to be completely turned before I'm even 40 but white is better than gray...

I would kill for a head of white hair. White means you can do whatever you damn well please with no bleach!

Thank you! I almost think I might like it better than the black and white. Lord knows it is only about 10,000% easier to take care of than the former.

Thank you, and I know - without the black and white hair and no glasses, I feel like I can wander around the city for the most part unknown!
