I am fucking stoked! I have managed 2 months of not over drafting my account. I have managed to pay all of my bills that are on my bill sheet. Only thing that sucks is that I've got to stock up like mad on food cause I have nothing. It's all good though. I also have essentials that I have to buy :( so that's gonna suck up most of my cash. On a good ( Read more... )

Just a question, because I'm confused:

If you are totally out of food and need to stock up, then why are you going to buy a tattoo instead of food (cause I know you told me the tattoo you wanted - unless you've decided to go with something else - would be more than $50)? Buying food and waiting for the tattoo until you're a bit more caught up on bills and have more disposable income would seem to make more sense financially.

Oh hon, of COURSE I'm going to make sure I have plenty of food before I spend any money what so ever on ink. The tattoo is actually only going to cost me $50 along with my $50 gift certificate. But I won't get it until I have plenty of food. I understand about you being concerned. I also want to have a "birthday gift" to myself. I hope you understand. ? :/

You know me, I'm not going to lie or sugar-coat anything for you... brokenmaiden May 2 2009, 03:33:52 UTC
Not trying to be a bitch or anything, but lots of us would like to give birthday gifts to ourselves, but don't have the option of running up balances with their bills and therefore can't do stuff like that. I'm sure JP would have liked some extra money for his birthday to spend on frivolous stuff too.

You'll do what you want, of course, but it seems like a pretty irresponsible thing to spend $50 on a tattoo when you are still in the financial situation you're in. At least, that's the view from the outside; I don't know what your personal stance is, and you're the one who will have to make the decision.

But I'm not going to lie and tell you I think this is a good idea and not an immature use of funds at the moment.

I understand what you are saying and where you are coming from. But yes, you do know me and you do know that I'm going to do what I want to regardless. I don't mean to frustrate you by saying that - I'm just saying you know what I'll do.

that would be so cool if we could do that - at least long enough to let me get some ring tones. so we'd maybe only need it for a month or two - i'll totally pay for it - that'd rock.. we can talk about it later.

gonna message you if you're still online.. something i need to talk with you about.

This is GREAT! I always saw my money issues (not having any or blowing it on stupid crap) as childish. Being financial responsibile really does bring out a sense of pride and accomplishment, and just makes one feel grown up.

And that last line sounds like something I would say. I really do want to feel closer to my spirituality, but I can't find the time ... ? ... and that's a bogus excuse.

Here's to mo' money & bright celestial light! *toast*
