Wellington

Feb 29, 2008 17:52

We artrived in Wellington at 8 AM on Friday. We spent Friday night hanging out at a local coffee house meeting up with old friends and meeting new friends. There is dancing tonight. We're really having a great time.

This city is very much oriented towards walking, so I'm getting into better shape, but my calves are sore. More news as it

I'm trying to do so. The next step is to find a job where they will help a foreigner to get a work visa. That is a big and important step.

Take it easy and don't overdo it. [... and avoid being trampled by sheep]

Very few sheep right here in the capitol city. As for the walking, I'm hoping the result will be weighing about 20 pounds less and looking young and strong.

i never asked, but was wondering how you met randall?

I met Randy when he was dating Lela. Later on, he married a couple people I also knew.

New Zealand was chosen because I like its personality. It reminds me a lot of the bay area in the early '70's.

Congratulations! My thoughts will be with you! Well, at least when I'm watching Super 14 Rugby, like the Highlanders-Waratahs match just starting in a few minutes from Dunedin, the pre-match for which I'm watching right now.

I'm not sure who was playing here Friday night, but itt did involve a lot of young women dressed in gold sequins rushing towards the stadium. I'm hoping I'll get the chance to see some of my who don't tend to travel, as a few of them have said that the chance to attend an All Blacks game and witness the Haka first hand.

Cheryl sent information on the national SF convention, Conjunction, which is in just a few weeks.
