How awesome are signs on businesses in strip malls?  The answer: Very.  In fact, signs just about anywhere can be pretty gosh darned entertaining.  Perhaps I am too easily entertained, but in the course of a day I can generally find at least one sign that tickles my fancy.

Several posts back I mentioned the kite flying event that the Smithsonian has.  I really can't describe in words the sheer numbers of kites that were in the air at one time.  I'm not entirely sure how people managed not to get tangled up with each other, but I didn't see anyone having problems.  Kites are fun!  I want to buy one shaped like a ( Read more... )

I believed I said I was going to post pictures from the Japanese Street Festival a couple weekends ago.  It drew a very interesting crowd.  When I was waiting in line for some food there was an elderly couple.  The little old lady struck up conversation, mostly about the food that was being served.  "Now, what is this... this... On the weekend of the 4th-6th, I went to I-CON on Long Island. It was more disappointing than previous years, but it did provide me with this gem found in the room assigned to movies/lectures related to furries.
