The Hive Queen and I got to see an excellent film from 1944 this weekend-- Murder, My Sweet, an adaptation of Raymond Chandler's "Farewell, My Lovely." It's a wonderful film noir classic. It came to my attention, while I was searching for a link in a dkos post the afternoon, that my one-time friend and teacher, Bill Riedler, died in May of this year.

I have been able to find out very little, but I'll post more when I can get it. He was a fine man, a fascinating thinker, and inspiring teacher, and his work has enriched both tx_hive_queen's life ( Read more... )
