Last night we threw a shower for our friends Tony and Corrin. They will be getting married at the end of July. It was a fun time. My favorite part was at the end. Luke has now learned to roll well enough that he keeps himself awake when he should be sleeping. I guess he's so used to holding his head up during tummy time that when he rolls himself over in his crib he doesn't understand that he can just lay his head down to go to sleep. I went into my old school today to pick up some things that I had left there when I left to go have a baby. I went today because tomorrow is the last day of school! It has gone by so fast! This weekend Luke went on his first camping trip. It was a little wild and crazy, although better for some than for others.

Last night we had our monthly "test" at verse memory group. Right now we're studying/memorizing the sermon on the mount; this month was Matthew 5:43-6:4. We don't usually do a lot of discussion about the verses on "test" nights, but we decided to all go around and tell one thing God was teaching us through these verses. Luke and I went to watch Ben play volleyball today.  It went so much better than last time.  No fussy crying as soon as we got there and no diaper blowout.  He didn't take a great nap, but 20 minutes was enough to keep him from being fussy, and was certainly better than none.

The last few days or so, Luke has decided to change up his sleeping habits. I guess he thought we were a little too comfortable. The once dependable 7:30/8 o'clock wake up time has started getting earlier and earlier. Last night I tried a little experiment. For the past month, Luke's been going to bed around 8 o'clockish. Then I wake him up to eat anywhere between 10:30 and midnight.
