Brolli gave Beej a CD today at training, which of course we had to put on right when we got home, because as we all know, I get to check out the music in this house. Why? Gosh, I don't know why BB doesn't like that Porcupine song! It's a great song!

I don't think it's a good idea for Beej to bring his teacher into the time chamber. A lot of normal folks can't deal with it, you know?

I try to trim mine at least once a week. But I still go through socks.

No, I don't feel bad, Mom. I understand I'm not an expert. But I can't wait for the day when I can really play this instrument, not just be sawing away at it.

I just hope that day will come, that I'm not just wasting my time.

I dont' think you're wasting your time. In the short time you have been taking lessons, you've gotten a lot better.

See, everyone else seems to see that, but I don't, you know? It's still a horrible struggle to know what to do, even those simple scales. I maybe be able to get them to come out, but I want it to flow.

I think that's probably what takes the longest, getting it all to flow, you know?
