From mystery to haunted house to science fiction, with a killer, efficient introduction. I can't wait to read more--of this story (which could end here without diminishing it at all) or any other you might have in you.

I liked the parallel universe discovery, rather than that the people had vanished completely. As weird as vanishing would be, think how random arrivals in YOUR universe would strike you!

Erp, sorry about that! Couldn't help think of the absurdity of it. At least that side of the equation could add up the clues a little more easily than the other side. :)
