brief house hunting update, of sorts: another house has been listed, still in the county but not in town proper. on not quite an acre of land, pretty close to where our vet is located (so we know the neighborhood pretty well). nice place, within budget. went ahead and reached out to the listing agent to request a showing. hoping it's better than ( Read more... ) -

so.
specialist appointment is booked. they were a lot kinder than the PCP was and seemed to have no trouble with my insurance. welp.
they offered to put me on the cancellation list for peace of mind; I said yes, and they were able to move it up from March to February. so at least that's something? idk.
guess we'll see.

Wrote back to doctor's office going, "look, I don't care if I have to pay out of pocket, I know this is covered by my insurance because I checked with them, can you please give me a referral to a specialist so I can get the ball rolling?"
and the receptionist was like, "we-ell..." but finally formally sent files and such over.

Doctor's office: "It's a problem with your insurance. Did your insurance provider change at the start of the year?"
Me, looking at the EOB I just got from the insurance, dated January 2: "...no?"
I wrote back a thing saying, nicely, that my insurance hasn't changed and I'd like to get to the bottom of whatever is going on, I'm prepared to pay out ( Read more... ) -

Well.
There's been no word from the doctor re: abnormal test results. I called on Thursday and was directed to use the patient portal to leave a message, so I did that. I requested to hear back even if there's no news just to ensure that nothing has fallen through the cracks. I'm guessing that stuff got shuffled off last week after I gave consent ( Read more... )
