So, yeah, been a while livejournal. I keep getting worried that someday I'll type in the livejournal URL and it will be gone, along with over a decade of entries. Maybe I should find someway to back this stuff up

Yeah, life has gotten fairly busy, but I've mainly been getting my internet community needs from Reddit these days. I do want to keep up with putting my thoughts in here a bit more often, though. Used to do it all the time! It's fairly therapeutic!

I've also become more into Reddit haha. It's been easier to slip away from LJ since most of my friends list stopped posting regularly. The end of an era :P

I hear you on rent. Our place is kind of old and dumpy but the rent is crazy cheap for the area, so we're not budging for a while. Everyone now and again, I'll look for places online and it's just discouraging. I definitely like your plan of buying and then renting out later if you want.

Yeah, I forget which area you're in, but in Midtown rent has shot up. We have a killer deal on our place, one that essentially just would not happen anymore (we started renting here 3 years ago). This will likely be our last year in Midtown. As much as I love it here and have friends here, it's just too expensive (real estate wise). Maybe later down the road we can come back. We actually found some affordable places in Buckhead, but kind of eyeing the Decatur area, or Inman Park area. Want to stay in apartments/condos though, so we'll have to see what is out there.
