On paper our holiday was a disaster.... I'll tell you all the things that made it horrible, but actually we had a relaxing time and enjoyed ourselves a lot. We get along really well as a family, and enjoy the same kind of holiday - a lot of lying around reading, and eating, and swimming if possible, and driving, exploring and walking around old ( Read more... )

Moustaches are very 'in' you know!

She is obsessed with facial hair! She wanted to grow her own moustache and was cross that her chances were so slim, so she decided she would force any future boyfriends to grow at least a moustache. Weirdo!

Andrew found her the best Christmas present last year - Munchstaches, 6 different shaped moustache cookie cutters!! They have a raised hair print on one side so you can cut out the cookie, stamp it with a hair print, cook them, try them on and pose in front of the mirror forever, then eat them!

Lovely pictures darling, it looks like (location-wise, at any rate!) a gorgeous holiday. I'm sorry to hear about your mum-in-law, that's very sad. A dear friend of our family had five serious melanomas over the years (she was albino, so had zero natural defense), and died suddenly from five massive brain tumors they hadn't known were there. They'd warned her, though, that when it came back, it would come back with a vengeance, and they weren't wrong. I will hope it's a long time in coming for your mum-in-law, and that when it does, she doesn't suffer. That's all any of us can hope for, I suppose.

Also, you haven't changed a bit--you are still too adorable for words! And OMG is Maddi ever getting big! Wasn't she just in kindergarten last year???

Pips, you are the sweetest!

It was stunningly beautiful there, all my pictures were taken on my phone, most of them from the moving car, so for them to still look good under those circumstances you know it had to be beautiful!

I kind of hope, in an awful way, that it is quick for her, just because we saw Andrews dad linger for 3 years with cancer and it was just so horribly degrading. He needed help with everything, and was in so much pain, and hated being so dependent.

Far too dramatic a time but it sounds like you had a fab trip despite the many injuries, love the pics, and yay Maddi impressing a top chef with her interest in foods :) Sorry to hear about the tumour etc, hope you can get to spend the time you need to say goodbye there *hugs*

And on the matter of pics, have you and Andrew found a fountain of youth or something cos neither of you seem to have aged ever :)
