I'm going back to work tomorrow. Pam has been a huge help and got me a part time job at her day care center. It's only supposed to last a couple of weeks, but it'll definitely help us out. Michael was playing in our back bedroom with our phone this morning and managed to dial 911. I heard a voice at the other end, and without thinking, hung up the phone. Well, we're on day #5 of cloth diapers, and I gotta say, I'm not being sold on these. I really miss the disposables. I think it's because it seems to be generating a lot of extra work for me. Due to the disposables extra absorbancy and Michael's nonchalance, we can get through a 24 hour period using only about 4 or 5 diapers. With the ( Read more... )

Michael and I got to take a walk together this morning. He wore his old man fisherman's hat. We went to the playground where Michael got to play on the swings and watch other children run around. I've been enjoying my new kitchen very much, but it comes with a small frustration. Because I'm using my stove and microwave now that they've been installed, I'm trying to do more in the kitchen, which is tricky because there still aren't any countertops, so balancing and placing plates and hot dishes can be a circus. Man, Michael's got the life! He slept in till 8:30, had a big breakfast and some leasurely play time, and was all done in time for his first nap of the day by 10. I think I might be jealous.
