For the past several years, keeping a journal has not been a priority; but it had and has its purpose. It is a connection with people, with friends and readers and myself. I do not yet know what I plan to do here as I restart. For now, let's say that I am happy and busy, and very absorbed with my final year of graduate school ( Read more... )

Journal writing gets easier with practice! :-) It's mostly learning to let go of the "but this is totally unintgeresting" reflex, in my experience... because chances are that whatever it is that's flitting through your brain IS interesting, and you would in fact consider it interesting if you read it on someone else's blog.

But in spite of the mundanity of life, it's still good to hear from you, friend. Besides, a journal is for journaling and not entertainment...the only person who has to be enlightened by journal writings is you. At least, that's the way I see it (which is why my own journal is a morass of my artwork, health complaints, and whatever I kayaked past yesterday).
